Earlier this month NASA had it’s final shuttle launch. I was saddened by the end of that part of our exploration into the vast unknown. But I just want to point out that while NASA likes to think they were the first ones on the moon Georges Méliès went there first.
His 1902 film “A Trip to the Moon” was a revolution in the industry and indulges one of my favorite parts of film: dreaming about the unknown. At the core of the film there is a sense of adventure, a lot of fun, and the spirit of a true optimist!
